Travel Massive, Lagos Chapter, today announces its partnership with Social Media Week for Travel Africa Day event. Travel Massive is a global travel community that connects people in the travel industry locally and across the world to share ideas, collaborate on ways to shape the future of travel.
In collaboration with Social Media Week Lagos 2019, Travel Massive will be hosting special events that highlight the interconnection between digital media and travel. As part of the line-up events for this year’s SMW, the Lagos chapter of Travel Massive in association with Air Namibia Nigeria, Cowrywise and FilmoRealty will be curating an array of immersive travel content and engaging experiences on Travel Africa Day.
The immersive experience programming schedule is as follows:

- African Karaoke Night & Travel Massive Meetup
- Travel Debate: Are Africa Travel Adventures worth the Trouble?
- ‘Caught Between Truth & Patriotism: Dilemma of the Millennial Traveller’
- ‘ALaCarteAfrica #ToYourTaste’
Travel Massive Lagos will also be hosting panel, debate and networking sessions on how digital media impacts travel across Africa. There will be a Masterclass session on how young and adventurous African travellers can strike a healthy balance when faced between trying to promote beautiful African destinations and reporting the truth about the various (political, economic, social and cultural) obstacles they face along the way. Speaking on this panel is the Ian Cumming, Entrepreneur & Founder Travel Massive; he is a well-respected travel professional on a journey to shape the future of travel.
The African debate session will also focus on the pros and cons of exploring Africa. The ‘ALaCarteAfrica” segment showcases the best of African destinations through Virtual Reality (VR) Gears that can help them fulfill their travel bucket list. There will also be a travel clinic where attendees can engage the travel doctors, ask several questions regarding travel and tourism, visa applications and vacation packages. There will also be an exhibition and showcase of African art, fashion, and creative artifacts.

The Travel Africa Day Experience – SMW Lagos kicks off at 12 pm prompt at Africa Nxt Campus, Landmark center, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday – 5th February 2019. All of these immersive experience programs and sessions are available to everyone who registered for Social Media Week Lagos.
